Week Two: "Write His Name Upon Your Heart"

Week Two: "Write His Name Upon Your Heart"

Read the account of the Last Supper in John 13: 4-15

The Journey:

As you go through this week ponder the meaning and power promised in our covenants. Think about what it truly means to take Christ's name upon us. Personalize ways we can stand as a witness of him "at all times, and in all things, and in all places".
During this week (and as we go forth) strive to remember Him ALWAYS.

Our journey will introduce to us many different names of the Savior. Each week's goal should contain one name that relates to a scripture story or gospel principle. Take a moment each week to reflect on how each name describes a way that he blesses your life. Perhaps record these thoughts in a journal, or make a list.

Week One: Come to Know Jesus Christ

Week One: Come to Know Jesus Christ

Read the account of the fisherman in Mark 1:16-18 and in John 1:38-39

The Journey:

Take some time to think about what fills your nets, and what you must cast aside to pursue a relationship with Christ. Are everyday challenges such as time constraints, demands from work or home, or feelings of inadequacy or fear holding you back from developing a personal relationship with the Savior?

Try this week to listen for the quiet promptings from the Lord to come and see.

Twenty-one Weeks Nearer to Christ

With life's everyday challenges, it is easy to become discouraged and disillusioned with life. Personally, I've struggled each day to maintain a positive attitude and have hope that tomorrow will be better.
I recently attended a Relief Society meeting where Emily Freeman outlined a plan of 21 days to come closer to Christ. I was inspired and impressed that this could make a positive difference in my life.
Because I believe we learn most from each other and our life's experiences, I have invited each of you, women who have been my examples and my inspiration to share these 21 weeks with me by taking President Thomas Monson's words to heart. "By learning of Him, by believing in Him, by following Him, there is the capacity to become like Him. The countenance can change; the heart can be softened; the step can be quickened; the outlook enhanced. Life becomes what it should become."
We'll follow Emily Freeman's Twenty-one steps to become Nearer to Christ, by reading the scriptures and performing the activity suggested in each week's post. Each woman can record their thoughts in a weekly blog post. Together we can learn from each other and become Women of Christ.
