Week Three: A Record of Righteousness

Week Three: A Record of Righteousness

Read 2 Nephi 25:21-26

The Journey:
Do you have a written copy of your testimony of Christ? Find a moment of quiet and reflection and record your testimony this week. You might want to include your belief in Him, your gratitude for Him, or an experience that has helped to strengthen your testimony of Him.

Obtain and keep a journal of your journey, recording the treasures and discoveries that come to you as you follow this path. These thoughts and reflections will create a record for you, and those who may come after you. This journal will serve as your own record of your path towards hopefully growing closer to the Master.

  1. LOVED this week's assignment...one of my favorite scriptures...2 Nephi 25:26..."And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins."

I thought of my Mom's last gift she gave to her children and grandchildren...a recording of her singing lullabies and songs she sang to us kids and her precious grandkids and then closing with her testimony and asking us to center our life on Christ and hold onto each other that we may all be together as a family again....what a precious gift this was knowing how hard it was for her at this time to even speak, let alone sing...Her testimony was one of most treasured possessions...She wanted to make sure that we all knew where to look to make it through the trials in life that were ahead...she lived her life that anyone who came in contact with her knew she was a true Christian....what a wonderful legacy she left.

I am so grateful for my testimony...for the knowledge of a God who knows my name and answers my prayers...How grateful I am for a testimony of Jesus Christ, for his precious gift of the Atonement that we might be forgiven, that he could take our pain, our losses, our sicknesses, and our worries....How grateful I am for a testimony of Joseph Smith, that he restored the gospel in these last days...I've sat in the Sacred Grove and received this witness...I'm grateful for a testimony of the Book of Mormon, that through this most correct book, we can get answers to our prayers and learn correct principles...I'm grateful for a testimony of our living prophet, President Thomas S. Monson, I've been in his presence and know he is God's mouthpiece...I know that this church is the only true church on the earth..that by living the gospel we will find true joy.

I am grateful for my sweet children and will continue to strive to share my testimony through words but most especially by my example, that they may know without a doubt where to look for a remission of their sins...that only through Jesus Christ can we truly be healed...physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Following his teachings and example is the only way to find true happiness.
